Breaking my growler cherry with this one...
Deep amber in color, almost opaque in places. Not a big head, but there is some that is off-white in color. Retention is not great. Light citrus hops in the aroma, as well as peach and overripe cherries. Bready malts also detectable.
Overripe peach is there in the taste as well, while the cherry aroma is more subdued. Somewhat sour and tart from the fruit, reminds me a little of Dogfish Head's Festina Peche, only darker. Small bitterness is detected amongst the tartness, as well as some bready malts. Those malts are definitely not a main feature, but add some sort of balancing effect for the beer. Kind of one sided in its tartness, not necessarily as a bad thing. Very light and refreshing, despite the highish ABV. Would make a good summer seasonal if they decide to do it again next year. Might not be a huge seller, but it is pretty unique. Not bad.
