well-written copy from the brewpub's menu--
A richly golden German-style lager brewed in the Bavarian tradition. Toasty malts, Noble hops and crisp balance make this a smooth, celebratory brew crafted to welcome autumn with open arms (and full mugs.)

While UnTappd styles this as a Vienna, a Festbier is closer. This has most those Fest characteristics and Viennas are mostly malty and amber. Fulton Festbier's Looks appetising, a pale lager with a good foam from the tap. Smells are only slightly above average as I get mostly sweet malts. Possibly served too cold, no tastes stood out until mid-palate when the hops emerged and they finished this balanced brew. Refreshing, but less than medium-mouthed.
Served as one of eight in Beach Chalet's sampler flight, I like how they both preserved this old beach house and serve their own beer in their restaurant with a perfect view of the setting sun. Hence, good Overall Hugs.
