Reviewed from notes - consumed on 3/7/2011. Served in a cervoise at the Jungle Lodge at Tikal in Guatemala. Pours a pale, translucent yellow with a rocky, bright white head that sizzles and pops and quickly loses its volume. Some spots and slashes of lacing revealed during the tasting. Nose is light with lemony/citrus notes followed by a suggestion of cereal grains and a bready quality. Flavors are extremely watery - just a suggestion of citrus and a light bready/yeasty character. Mouthfeel is also watery in texture with a fizzy carbonation. Easy drinking, but not much flavor. A somewhat lackluster example of the style.

I had this at the hotel bar just outside the Mayan ruins of Tikal in eastern Guatamala, which my new bride and I were visiting while on our honeymoon in neighboring Belize. Conducted from notes.
Pours a bland straw color with a half finger of head. The smell is almost nothing beyond a faint wisp of malt. The taste was surprisingly crisp and refreshing but more inoffensive than good. Watery and weak in the mouthfeel but not a disaster.
The bottle and label design was basic and boring and as it turned out the beer was much the same. It was drinkable, however, and if in Guatamala I am certain you could do far worse.

NOt bad, a little booring, but it is nice, you can enjoy yourself with this beer. Just remember it is not the same Victoria than in MExico or in Nicaragua. BUt the hops are there, not like a pIlsener na dit is more like a lager, but you can notice it is not by the colour and the taste.
