More flavor for me than the average BA ratings. A nice regional rendition of the relatively narrow range of Bavarian lagers.
Looks like a typical helles. Mostly malt for Smells and just enough hops in the Taste for balance. Keeps its balance and cleans the palate in the finish.

A town an hour from Munich, Augsburg seems to have an active beer culture. Drinking a beer with a pre-WWI label of a fräulein holding a cornucopia horn with suds, I am less than 1/2 certain that the Fortuna Hell I just drank is brewed by Hasen Brau. By I googled Augsburg breweries and Hasen seems to be the big one, so maybe they collaborate on the distribution end with the many local brewers/restaurants. Hard to tell without an English button on their website.

Got a 0.5l bottle from a shop in the Munich train station.
Poured a golden yellow with a good amount of bubbles producing a fluffy white head. Flowery aroma and some white pepper. Tastes of lemon rind and a hint of hops. Mouthfeel is light and very clean. Another too easy to drink helles.

Served cold from 500ml bottle into straight pilsner mug.

L) Golden colour, clear, fine bubbles rising, fluffy white head. Great looking beer.

S) Good odour, has honey sweetness, hints of coconut, but who are we kidding this is a German lager. Hints of the hallerau hops.

T) Nice cleanish taste, with a little bit of malt depth. HInts of depth from a hop bitterness.

F) Good mouthfeel, on the malty side of the lager spectrum, so this is one to digest rather than throw down. Carbonation just right for the style. Really faultless in this category. I'll never give a 5 until I find the one true bier brewed by God, so 4.75 it is.

O) NIce lager, this ticks the boxes and can happily recommend it to German lager fans, although it isn't in the Bundesliga of Helles.

A: Golden clear beer poured into a pint glass producing a thin white head that dissipates quickly and leaves behind a thin rim of lace.
S: Grain, lemongrass, and hops all contribute to a fresh aroma.
T: Sweet fruits with a hint of white grape and a slightly malty backbone in a fairly balanced brew.
M: Light body with active carbonation.
O: A very easy to drink beer that I enjoyed but will not need to try again. I am glad I tried it while in Germany.

500ml bottle mindestens haltbar bis 31.01.12.

It pours a stale looking gold with a bright white head that quickly dissipates with no lacing.

Not a huge amount of smell here, grainy, watery, a hint of sweetness.

The flavor is weak with some buttery biscuit, some fruitiness, grain, and a hint of hops in the finish. It isn't horrible, but nothing to behold, an easy drinker.

BB 24-05-06. Nice and well lasting white head and a pale golden beercollor. Nose is very green and hoppy flowery/lemonlike with a litle spicy yeast note. Fresh sweet summermalts in the back complete a IMO fine nose. Taste is also very clean and fresh with decent aftertaste and well dosed alcohollevel. Could maybe just have a litle more body and bite but IMO a pleasure to drink.

Yellow color, very clear, with greenish reflexes. Average head.
The smell is quite malty, but, for a hell, even quite hopped, and not too malty.
The taste is more like an hell, even if some hops it's still noticeable. But the taste is very watery and tasteless.
Some malt in the aftertaste, and hop again, but very light and not persistent.
Scarce body.
Drinkable, but surely, not search for another one.
