Unfiltered wheat beer light in color and low in bitterness. Brewed with a blend of wheat and pale barley, three hops are used for aroma and a refreshing finish. Natural almond and honey are infused for distinct flavor and a soft sweetness. The water from a glacial spring with natural minerals allows us to brew great beer only here in Cold Spring, Minnesota.

Cold Spring Honey Almond Weiss
It was really the quart sized can that caught my attention and led me to try this, but the idea of a honey-almond weiss didn't hurt either, so here goes...
It's a slightly hazy dark gold that appears orange in an imperial pint glass. The head is a slight off-white that doesn't hold particularly well but does leave some lace behind. (Note added after initial review: the second pour brought up the yeast and changed the appearance and character of the beer. I'd suggests you gently roll it to rouse the yeast if you've got one of the quart cans).
The aroma is sweetly honeyish and almond-like, backed by some nice grain. (The yeast pour brings it a more weiss-like, yeasty aroma).
The flavor, as you might expect is... 'sweetly honeyish and almond-like, backed by some nice grain'. There's a minor bitterness to it, but I think the fairly zesty carbonation does just about the same amount of work to cut the sweetness. Somehow though, it never becomes cloying. (The yeast pour does even more, lending a slight underlying tang).
Overall it's a fairly interesting beer. I think they could have done a lot more with it, but as it is, it seems they've intended an easy to drink, sweetish beer that will have mass appeal. Not bad. (Again, note... the yeast really changed the character of the beer, bringing it from a simple, mainstream brew into a more complex weizen-type ale. With the yeast it had more character, but the first glass that was mostly clear had more charm).

Can pour at the BevMo Holiday Beerfest held at Golden Road Brewing in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a hazy orange with a foamy off-white head that settles to wisps of film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace slowly drip into the remaining beer on the drink down. Smell is of malt, wheat, and some slight honey aromas. Taste is much the same with a slightly odd sweet flavor on the finish. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp and medium bodied mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty poor beer that smells better than it tastes but that isn't saying too much.

This beer poured a cloudy golden with a thin head that quickly left the party.
the aroma is orange and buttery. This beer may have been off when I tasted it.
The flavor while rather bland does have a weak citrus note. A slight almond maltiness can be found (if you're looking for it.) The mouthfeel is not pleasant but astringent and rather flat. This was a vendor sample. If the cost was low I could see where some would want this but otherwise just pass if you value your taste buds.

The final of the three Cold Spring 32oz cans that Elizabeth Station here in Bellingham carries. I thought the IPA was OK, for what it was, the Dark Ale was just a diacetyl butter bomb. Lets see what we get here.

The aroma was mostly mild grains, with a noticeable sweetness, a touch of butter and, just maybe, a hint of almond. Or not. On the tongue, the beer wasn't as sweet or as buttery as in the nose, but otherwise the same as the aroma. The wheat flavors were barely noticeable.
The body was on the thin and meh-ish side of average. Drinkability was OK, 32 ounces was more than I enjoyed, I would have been fine with 12oz of this beer, but I did finish the oil can. Overall, an OK brew. Worth grabbing for the tick, or if you just want a cheap, cold beer. Not worth seeking out.

This is bad beer. I knew I should have left it on the shelf, but I couldn't resist the big can.
I smell honey and almond, but mostly I smell rotten pineapple.
Little carbonation or lace. Cloudy yellow.
Bad flavor of pineapple and paper bag. As someone else stated, this tastes like a bad homebrew.
Paid $4.09 for the "double pints" can. Drank one 12 oz glass and poured the rest out. :(

IDK what THE HELL people are talking about with this beer. I loved this beer before i knew what "good" beer was and now that i have tried it again, after expierecing ALOT of craft and micro beers that have BLOWN my mind, i STILL LOVE IT. Its unique in my opinion, I've never had a beer quite like this one. the color is average for a wheat beer, the aroma is pleasant but the flavor is excellant! It has a very well rounded flavor of wheat and barley, hints of honey and almond, and who can beat the PRICE you fricks?! 2.39 for a 32 oz can?!?! come on?! I love this beer... LOVE IT!

This beer called to me from the shelf, tempting me with the hope of a clean, nutty, wheat beer. Unfortunately it was the siren's call, and my hopes were smashed on the rocks of reality.
Cold Spring's Honey Almond Weiss looks okay when poured. It's a light color, but darkness isn't everything. However, the smell is almost nonexistant and the taste and mouthfeel just aren't good. It's not a crisp feel, just kind of there. The taste reminds me more of a homebrew gone bad.
It was a good idea, but this is one to stay away from. On a side note, this is a screw top, so homebrewers should look elsewhere when manufacturing bottles.

This pours out as a yellowish gold color, the head is thin and kind of fizzy. The smell of the beer has the typical soft wheat aroma with a touch of almond sweetness to it. The taste was very minimal, could barely get anything from this one other than some wheat flavors. I was hoping for something from the almond to step in but it didn't. The mouthfeel was decent, it was on the lighter side. Really not too much to say about this beer other than I expected something more flavorful and didn't get it. Better luck next time I guess.
