Bottle, RBNAG 2009 in Vatlandsvåg. Golden to orange colour, moderate white head. Nice aroma of saison yeast and oranges. The flavour has some coriander and orange, sourish finish.

The beer is gold (10 EBC), the liquid is clear. The three finger head is pale beige, firm and compact with a crater on top. It sinks very slowly leaving some lacing on the glass.
The smell is a bit raw with unclean notes of ripe apples, lemon acid, red berries, mixed spices (including allspice and black pepper) and grassy hops.
The flavours are a bit metallic, bitter-sweet and spicy. Somewhat earthy and mineralic flavours, warming alcohol, fresh herbs, some pepper. The aftertaste is a little dry with hints of fish(!), spices and herbs, tea, rye bread and green bananas. The finish got a hint of honey.
The carbonation is strong with lots of small bubbles; the liquid is semi-smooth.
A refreshing and somewhat rough Saison with interesting spicy flavours.

A: Slightly slightly hazy orange color with a big off-white head that leaves nice lacings.
S: Quite a nice smell, but it's a bit restrained. Malty with notes of bread crumbs, leafy hops, some bakers yeast and spices. All in all, it's not totally well integrated.
T: Somewhat sweet with decent notes of spices, oranges, wheat crackers and a hint of leafy hops. The finish has some bitterness to it, mild hop notes and muted herbs. Not bad actually.
M: Medium body, less carbonation than expected. Quite smooth.
D: Way better than expected. But it's still not a great beer, and it's definitely not the best saison I've coma across.

Limited edition, only 4.200 bottles made.
Poured from 750 ml bottle into tulip glass.
A: Golden, hazy, with quite a lot of settings since this beer is unfiltered.
S: Nice fruity smell, with a twist of hops. I can smell malt as well. A hint of pepper?
T: The first thing that comes to mind is thyme, and a little pepper. Then you get a mouthful of fruit, followed by malt and some hops.
M: Typical farmhouse ale
D: I had it on a warm swedish midsummer evening - I can't think of anything that would go down smoother. It quenched my thirst better than water.
