Doing a night stay at the Sheraton - Marriott Baltimore Inner harbor. Took the walk to the Harbor front and on over to Phillips Seafood outside Deck for a dinner meal of their Maryland Crap Cakes. Awesome meal!!!
Now for the beer.
LOOK: Got a 22 oz. draft in plastic souvenir glass for $9.00. Amber red in color, arrived with not much of head but enough carbonation that one twist on the sea salt mill and a full finger of white head rose up.
AROMA: Nothing boldly stands out, a little bread malts and a little grassy hops.
This draft at their outside deck could have been served a bit more chilled, but on this hot May afternoon it was welcomed.
The beer paired up with the tasty lump Md. crab cakes may have benefited from the outstanding meal.

Beautiful golden look, with a thick hearty head. Bitter taste at first, but smooths out as it covers the entire palette. Not my favorite, yet would oder it again!

Drinking on tap at Newark Airport Phillips
Look - amber in color, full head that dissipates quickly, but with nice lacing
Smell - bread, biscuits, toasted malts. Very hearty smelling beer
Taste - slightly tart initially, and a strong bread/biscuit finish
Feel - light bodied, medium-high carbonation, refreshing and excellent pairing with seafood
Overall - nothing to write home about, but a good beer to pair with the food here

Had on-tap@ Phillip's Famous Seafood in the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport
Appearance - Served up in a pint, the brew is a relatively clear and copper in color. Served without a head, and not much lacing left as the brew is consumed.
Smell - Pretty typical amber aroma. Fair aroma of caramel and bread with faint touches of earth and grassy character.
Taste - Follows the nose. Decent amount of caramel and bready malt flavors that are met with a touch of estery, apple-ish character and hops that add a bit of bitterness as it rounds into the finish. I wouldn't call it bland, but there's nothing of particular interest here.
Mouthfeel - On the lighter side of medium-bodied with fair carbonation. Goes down smooth with a fairly crisp finish.
Overall - About what was expected. Decent flavor, but doesn't do much to excite the palate. It's just a good 'kick back and drink' kind of beer.

One of them old school east coast brews. I don’t know if it’s served exclusively at Phillip’s locations, or whatever. It might have once been, back when people cared about it.
Pretty, classic American pale pour. Filtered amber-orange with a nice white head.
Smells faint, perhaps a bit too chilled. Light fruit and a little bit of toffee. Pleasant, but even for its style it’s way too delicate.
Tastes like a classic, nearly hopless American pale ale. Big fruity malt up front, bright with nodes of Juicy Fruit gum, moving into a more biscuity middle, sweet toffee finish, and then just a little, teeny tiny bit of dry hops to balance the fruit on the finish. Very good for what it is.
