Hydra's haze is one monster of a beer. Brewed with a ridiculous amount of Citra and Galaxy hops for a juicy, dank flavor - an intense hop experience is lurking right around the corner.

From the can, it pours a hazy (surprise!) amber color with a modest white head that slowly reduces. Some lacing. In the nose, it is citrus up front, with some pine and malt. In the mouth, it is grapefruit first, followed by some citrus and malt. Afterwards. grapefruit flavors continue.

This one starts strong (not even counting the sea monster on the can. Proper appearance and nose with a big head and heavy rotation tropical fruit. Big citrus and herbal note throughout. Minor alcohol burn. Not a bad effort.

12 ounce can poured into a can glass.

L: Pale/straw and hazy. The two finger head is white and soapy, leaves some lace and settles down after a minute.
S: Citrus, pineapple and tropical hop aromas. Bread malt.
T: Citrus and tropical hop flavors, moderate bitterness, low to medium malt sweetness.
F: Medium-light body, medium-high carbonation, opening and closing crisp with the underlying softness showing more in between.
O: Great summer poolside or marina beer. This one was hiding in the back of my fridge, over two months past the best by date but held up impressively well.

-lightly cloudy can pour with a a tall foamy cap and a sweet orange aroma with a hint of mint. The flavor includes citrus hop notes, pine, peaches and hop bitterness that creeps late into the moderate zone. This is a tasty brew.
