Copenhagen 6/10 2021. 35,5 cl can from Meny, Borups Allé, Frb. F. Light yellow can with a dissected pineapple.
Pours clear amber with a mid-sized white head. Settles as thin layer of foam struggling to cover the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is fairly intense with a prominent sweet odor of multi fruit tropical juice almost overpowering a light citric scent. Pineapple and sweet mango. Light whiff of citrus.
Medium strong carbonation. Slightly thick, oily, lightly tingling texture.
Flavor is medium intense with a strong sweetness followed by a medium strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sourish bitter. Lingers for a while. Finish is dry.
A bit on the artificial side but not without a dry and bitter charm.

I absolutely love the original Tropicannon, but this pineapple version is a horrendous mistake - the worst beer I have ever tasted and unfortunately I'm stuck with 2 more from the sampler pack. If you bought the Tropicannon sampler, maybe you can use the pineapple ones to kill slugs in the garden.
the flavor is the big problem - sickly sweet pineapple clashing with the IPA hops to make an awful swill
the good news - the sampler has 3 of the original Tropicannon with a wonderful citrus aroma and in that case the citrus blends beautifully with the hops

This beer was very unique and my favorite from the Heavy Seas sampler pack. Nice orange color with a white head that was about half an inch that dissipated after 5 minutes or so. The smell was strong pineapple which I love and sort of the scent of opening a can of pineapple. The taste was more muted on the pineapple side but it's still there and very much an IPA. It was light on the mouthfeel and very refreshing. I wish they had this outside of the sampler as they were great and I very much enjoyed every one of them in the sampler. There's Citrus and Mango in my sample pack and the Pineapple was the best out of the three.

TropiCannon Pineapple from Heavy Seas Brewing. Purchased on 5 Aug 21 from Franklin Beer, Franklin, PA. $19.00 (Including tax) per 12-pack of 12 oz cans, in a variety pack with six Citrus, three Mango Lime, and three Pineapple ($0.133/oz). On room temperature shelf at store, stored at home at 42 degrees. Reviewed 09/08/21. Note that I use DD/MM/YY protocol.
Can marked on bottom “BEST BY 07/?9/21”. Served at 45.1 degrees in a hand washed and dried Jester King snifter. Final temperature 54.1 degrees.
Appearance – 3.5
First pour – Pale Gold (SRM 4), slight haze.
Body – Deep Gold (SRM 6), hazily opaque. When rear-lite, translucent.
Head – Average (Maximum 3.5 cm, aggressive center pour), snow, medium density, fair retention, diminishing to a 13 to 14 mm crown and a thick complete cap.
Lacing – Fair. A few short, tight, three-dimensional bands of tiny bubbles, connected by thin columns.
Aroma – 3 – No aroma – no hops, no malt, no yeast, no pineapple.
Flavor – 3 – Begins slightly bitter and fruity, like over-ripe pineapple. No malt. No yeast. No ethanol (7.25 % ABV, as marked on container) taste. No gastric warming initially, but it begins to build toward the end. No dimethylsulfide or diacetyl.
Palate – 3.25 – Medium, feels like a puree, soft but lively carbonation.
Final impression and summation: 3 A very unremarkable IPA, not offensive and not worth purchasing separately. Glad I tried it, three and done.

I got a mixed 12pck of this beer from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had wonderful pineapple and tropical fruit peel notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with pineapple and fruit peel spices. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a great beer.

Slightly hazy deep gold to light amber, nice off-white head, excellent retention and spotty lace
Smells like ripe pineapple
Pineapple juice, citrusy hops, light caramel malt.
A little heavy for an IPA, good carbonation
Not a big pineapple fan, but it delivers on what it promises.
Rated based on what it says it is.

12 ounce can poured into a tulip style pint glass.
My conservative pour yields over an inch of white fizzy foam that leaves very little lace and caps a clear, caramel-copper colored body. The nose is strong and candy-like, the primary aroma being a mix of pineapple and pear. Taste starts fruit juice-like and bitter then changes to more of a tropical hop profile before finishing with a clean bitterness. The medium body is well carbonated and finishes a little frothy.
This is pretty close to TropiCannon Citrus IPA. Although, I do like the flavor profile on this one better, it seems a little less artificial/contrived. Maybe I just like pineapple better.
