Picked up on a whim while selecting a cigar for the hot tub tonight on vacation in Southern Shores. The Andy Capp looking fella on the label is pretty cool but I'm not expecting amazing here. I think a single was two bucks. I think this used to be Weeping Radish but is now contract brewed by Clipper city. As far as I know, it can only be found at BrewThru stores in OBX

Appearance is medium gold with reddish highlights. Head doesn't last. Nose is grainy with a touch of mild hops. Mellow in taste with a bit of caramel malt up front and a light sampling of noble hops at the finish. Easy to quaff and very non-threatening.

Not something to go hunting for but you honestly could do much worse.

This beer is contract brewed by Clipper City for the BrewThru chain located in and around the OBX. Grabbed a sixer when I was there awhile back.

Poured into my pint glass. Pours a light orange with a thin white head on top. Very little lace sticks to the glass. Candied malts and light orange zest in the nose.

Good crisp body on this one. Moderate amount of carbonation. Flavor is pretty mellow and average. Some light bittering hops and a sweet malty finish. Could stand a bit more of a bitter pop in there. This is a great beer for the BMC crowd. Refreshing, but not anything I would go out to get.
