This poured out as a deep brownish black color with a brown colored head on top that wasn't too impressive. The smell of the beer gave off some roasted malts with a little bit of smoke. The flavor was chocolaty and roasted but I wasn't able to pick up on much of the bourbon too much which I thought was disappointing. The mouthfeel was a little on the watery side, the addition of the Oyster didn't really thicken the beer too much at all. Overall I wasn't overly impressed with this brew.
