Poured into a snifter. A slightly hazy reddish brown color with a modest light tan head. Aroma was tart cherries, subtle oak and vanilla, and hay. The first sip was fairly tart. Bright cherry flavor dominated. The oak and funk was there as well, and the funk grew as the beer warmed. Blueberry and even a faint chocolate hit my palate on the finish. Great, complex beer.

Thank you, Trey.
A hazy, mildly murky reddish brown with a dense, beige head that falls off to a ring leaving little lacing, this looks solid. The nose is great. Vinous, fruity, funky and sour, this is a pretty great Flemish red. Red grapes, cherries, cherry pits, lactic acid, a little vinegar, a touch of leather, vanilla and honey are all present. The palate opens sour, bright with a blend of lactic and acetic sourness with a touch of citric brightness. This is followed by a blend of fruit and wine - there's earth, cherries, grapes and a little floral character present. Mildly tannic on the finish with a blend of caramel and red wine vinegar, there's little vanilla and leather than linger. Very nice.

Sampled this at Yazoo Funk Fest 2015. Poured by Brandon from a Magnum. This is cherry deux rouges to the next level. I loved this one and enjoy the Yazoo sours in general.
