Our interpretation of the classic Berliner Weisse style. A funky wheat ale with a refreshingly bright fruity sourness and tart finish. Just the thing for the Summer heat in the South!

Pours a hazy dark yellow with near no head of foam.
It smells of orange, lemon zest, light funk. Absolutely no alcohol, lol!
Taste is tart, lemon and orange zest, some tasting to me apple cider, kinda funky in the finish.
Light body but that is not a surprise.
Refreshing brew and packed with flavour for such a low abv.

Fine example of a Berliner. Fairly thin to no head at all which I'd expect. Almost clear, and not much smell. The taste is great, really tart, and refreshing, it rings in at just under 3%abv so no alcohol to be detected. Another great beer from Yazoos embrace the funk series, that has me wanting to try all of their funky brews.

Looks the tone of watered down lemonade that is a little on the hazy side. Little to no head but there is a skim of off white foam on the edges. Nose is just dirty funky and a little stinky like cheese. With first sip you get a kick in the jowls of faint tartness. The tartness does build as you drink though. A bit thin overall but it has the makings of a great Berliner.

Pours a very light straw color, with no discernible head, as it dissipates instantly upon pouring. Flavor is definitely funky/sour/citrusy, but the nose is less citrusy (though I don't have the greatest sense of smell), and there is neither hop flavor nor smell. Mouthfeel is light, carbonated. No clue what ABV this is - can't even find the beer on Yazoo's website - but there is no sense of booziness at all. Goes down very easily, especially on a hot day.
Overall, a nice weisse, but a little pricey (was $4.99 for a 12-oz bottle).
