Enjoyed on-tap @ the East Nashville Beer Festival in East Nashville, TN. Tapped from a Wooden Yazoo Tap Handle w/ HOMMEL PROJECT stickered onto the wood into my 8oz Yazoo Festival Glass. This is the Hop Project #63 fermented with a Saison Yeast.
Aroma- Has a light musky aroma from the beginning but yet sweet. Light spices, medium yeast, fruit dominant. Can't find much hop character but this isn't a problem.
Appearance- Received wit ha 2 finger head that is long lasting. Has a deep caramel colored body with no clarity and leaves the thickest lacing behind.
Flavor- The flavor is VERY complexed. A bit of yeast flavor starts it off with soft malts and like belgian spices. Once again, not much hop character but does have a light-medium bitter finish. Belgian dry.
Mouthfeel- Light-Medium Bodied, Medium-High Carbonation, Effervescent, Creamy, and fantastic Belgian attributes are left on the palate.
Overall Impression- Very refreshing and a nice project by Yazoo! If given the opportunity, try finding this limited brew.
