Similar to our raspberry wheat, this is an American Wheat Beer with blueberries added. We try to keep the fruit flavor on the subtle side instead of overwhelming the palate.

I’m a hophead but I gotta give it up to Estes Park Brewery. This is so blueberry forward and delightful! So much better than Sam adams Blueberry. Well Dunne!

12 oz. Bottle
Pours a nice yellow color, nice carbonation, with a pretty nice small off-white head, which leaves some sticky lacing behind. The nose is malty, yeasty, grass/wheaty, with some blueberries. The taste is malty, yeasty, grassy/wheaty, blueberries. Medium body. Overall, a pretty tasty brew.

Draft, pilsner glass
A – Light gold with an orange-ish tint. Limited white foam stand, with fairly low retention. Some haze, which seems more like chill haze than from wheat protein.
S – Strong blueberry candy with some bready notes. Hops are hard to find, perhaps light floral.
T – Blueberry sweetness is prominent, with some grainy-sweet bread dough. Slightly spicy hops, but very low in the mix.
M – A bit on the sweet side, and the carbonation is moderately low. Bitterness helps some, but too mild to really balance out.
O – Blueberry tastes somewhat artificial, and there’s basically no wheat character. Not much else going on with this beer.

Had this on tap at the brewery. I wasn't all that impressed. The appearance looks watered down, no notable head or lacing.
It smells good which is comforting, nice fresh blueberry smell, but that is about it.
Taste is weaker than smell. No malt that is recognizable, but the blueberry taste is slightly refreshing.
Mouthfeel is really weak.
Drinkability is good.

Drank this from a bottle I purchased at the Estes Park Brewery. No freshness date on it. Poured a cloudy honey color with a very small head. Little bit of lacing on the glass. Smell is pleasant, although dominated by the blueberry. Smells like a scoop of blueberry jam. Taste of the blueberry again. Hints of wheat. Slightly buttery finish. Overall good fruity quality - not too overpowering like some other fruit beers. Mouthfeel heads to creamy but ends up a tad watery. Overall, not a strong beer, but light and easy for drinking.

Poured purple or maroon in color out of the bottle. One of the more unusually colored beers I've seen out of the bottle. A thin 2-3 mm head appears that is very white against the beer. The smell is also very unusual. It actually smells a little like beef. Maybe like a beef stock. Actually I think it smells exactly like beef stroganoff (sorry for the spelling).
First sip reveals a slight beef strouganoff taste receeding and a heavy wheat taste that reminds me of Lowenbrau. I'm not getting much blueberry flavor other than a slight sweetness. I've yet to have a blueberrry beer that works. This is probably the worst example of this genre that I've had. The mouthfeel is very thin and flat. Disappointing because this is one of 2 beers I've carried back from Colorado by plane. Just my luck that I land in beer paradise and bring this one back home.
