On tap at Mohawk Bend in Los Angeles, CA.
Pours a clear dark orange-brown with a foamy bone head that settles to a partial film on top of the beer. Small dots of lace form around the glass on the drink down. Smell is of malt, grain, caramel, banana, yeast, and spice aromas. Taste is much the same with toast, rye, caramel, banana, and spice flavors on the finish. There is a mild amount of earth bitterness on the palate with each sip. This beer has a lower level of carbonation with a slightly crisp mouthfeel. Overall, this is a pretty good beer with a nice mix of grain and earth aspects all around.
