This is a strange duck - largely based around sweet potatoes, and it was a tossup whether or not to call it a happoshu or a something else, but I'm going to reason the sweet potato is used here in the same respect that pumpkin is in a pumpkin ale. Bizarre purple colour, which actually comes from the sweet potatoes. You can buy lovely purple sweet potato ice cream here. Thin bubbly white head. Field berry aroma. Slightly odd fruit flavour has raspberries and blackberries in it, followed up by a mild bitterness. Light body and moderate carbonation. I would have guessed this was a fruit beer had I not know. Odd, but decent.
