I tried this brew on a recent visit to SBC with the fam.
Beer arrives cold in a pint glass with minimal eggshell white surface layer of about .5 cm. Head fades to edge layer rapidly.
Aroma is grainy malt and caramel with some tart cherry, no vanilla notes though.
First sip reveals an average to lite body with fine carbonation. The flavor is similar to the nose. Starts with some sweet caramel and a bit of tart cherry, then finishes with some husky grain and a bit of grassy hop. Again vanilla is absent.
the beer is easy to drink with no hint of ABV and could be okay on a hot day, but the cherry is very minimal and the vanilla doesnt make much of a showing. Not one of the better fruit beers from SBC.
