This is the 1654 Eisbock per the label. It tastes as expected.... a concentrated doppelbock. Strangely, the hops showed up on some sips but not others, but the malt is front and center.

De Hopt. Edicion 2016. En copa Teku. Viendo La Casa de Papel 1x04. Bastante buena pero no a altura de la Aventinus. Alcohol se nota bastante mas sin molestar. Dulce, con notoria melaza y caramelo tostado

Brought back two bottles from the brewery store in Miltenberg last June. Pours a hazy medium brown color with a lot of yellow light coming through into a pint glass. The light tan/dark cream color head is fizzy and not long lasting. A ring remains around the sides of the glass for a long time. Very little lacing. Aroma is potent and inviting. Caramel malt, rich bready malt and some dark fruit (raisins and figs) area all prominent in the aroma. Same in the taste, sweet, malty, syrupy with a good blast of alcohol. Mouthfeel is rich, syrupy sweet and boozy. Very pleasant, but this is a slow sipper that packs a good wallop!!!!! A great winter warmer...one and done. I have another bottle and am looking forward to having it.

Faust Holzfassgereifter Eisbock has a thin, highly fizzy, cream-colored head of foam, little-to-no lacing left on the glass, and a hazy, caramel appearance, with some lazy bubble streams. The aroma is rich and intense: fruits (figs & dates), brown bread, syrup, caramel, malt, sweetness, and even hop bitterness. Mouthfeel is very heavy, syrupy, and cloying, and Faust Holzfassgereifter Eisbock finishes rich, boozy, and not particularly drinkable. Sip it. Slowly.
