L- I thought this was well behaved on the decork+pour, then turned by back for 5 seconds and it was growing fast out of the glass. Take the initial pour really cautiously (esp at this px). Pale to mid gold, clear for the first 1/3rd of this 750ml bottle with a large, animated foamy white head. [ps. the head in the glass DOES continue to grow after you pause on the pour and rising CO2 in the glass is very lively]. The head does hold very well and forms lacing on the way down.
S- Mild for me, sadly that's my 'winter nose'.
T- Boom! Oh yes, this has some meat on it's bones. A slight bitterness at the start that lingers, a light floral note, then following is solid malts. The bitterness at the start is either ABV% or mimics it well.
F- It has both a notable brightness on the palate, whilst in parallel presenting a solid malty body.
O- This is a good slow-sippin' winter beer. -- Apparently it contains 'winter heather' but I have to admit I'm unable to detect that - better luck to others.
750ml bottle £20/+ from Beautiful Beer of Bury, Britain BB 19/11/34 laset etched at neck!
