330 ml bottle from beer tasting on river cruise.
Pours a clear mahogany colour with copper undertones and a big frothy tawny, tan coloured head - laces nicely.
Caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits on the nose with just a touch of vinous character.
Taste follows with caramel, raisin bread, hint of cherry - brown sugar sweetness with a gentle backend tannic bitterness.
Tingly briskly carbonated medium full mouthfeel with a dry finish and some notes of the 8% ABV.

Copenhagen 8/7 2024. 33 cl bottle from Den Belgiske Ølbutik, Jyllingevej, Vanløse. Dark burgundy label with golden letters. Pours almost clear dark mahogany with a off-white head, Bubbly. Settles as 0,1 cm thick layer of foam covering the surface of the beer. Moderate lacing.
Aroma is medium intense with a malty and sugary odor mingling with a sharp grainy scent. Caramel and toffee. Brown sugar. Raisins. Alcohol.
Strong carbonation. Slightly thick, lively and tingling texture.
Flavor is intense with a strong sweetness followed by a moderately strong bitterness. Aftertaste is sweet with a bitter edge. Lingers for a while. Finish is boozy with a sweet touch.
Sweet and boozy - as a Dubbel should be.
