Appearance- Poured a brilliant, ruby red with a thin eggshell white head that faded fairly quickly. No lacing.
Aroma- Clean with soft caramel/toffee sweetness, light toast, and spicy hop notes. Smells delicious!
Flavor- Nice malty backbone sets the stage without blowing up this light-medium bodied brew. Spicy and floral hop flavors enter the picture and are in just about perfect balance to round out the middle and leave a crisp finish. Very nice lager with a lot of complexity for such a refreshing and lighter bodied brew!
Mouthfeel- Light-med bodied, moderate CO2, low- moderate resid sugars, excellent balance. Very sessionable.
Overall- One of my favorites in the taster! Almost ale-like complexity with a killer lager finish. Will definitely be getting a pint of this next time, and so should you!
