Irish Uprising is a rich, deeply black, Irish Dry Stout made in the classic style. Notes of freshly roasted coffee, chocolate and a slight smokiness are the characteristic features of the style. The use of flaked, unmalted barley gives this beer a smooth, almost silky mouthfeel. Extremely flavorful and full-bodied, this brew is a revolution for the tastebuds with a sessionably low ABV. So pour it slow and enjoy the uprising!

Had on tap. Pitch black body with two fingers of brown head. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, slight coffee and faint vanilla in the nose. Taste hits the chocolate and vanilla up front but then submerges it all into the roasted malt dry depths. Body is thin yet smooth, cooler for style, and is very wet before drying out somewhat. Solid twist with the sweeter notes, but felt half committed to it

On tap at Lovin' Cup in Henrietta, NY.
Pours a dark brown almost black, with a 2 inch head that lasts for about 10 minutes. Good strings of lacing down the glass.
Smells like roasted malt, chocolate and vanilla.
Similar flavor- the roasted malt is flavorful without being overbearing, like most dry Irish stouts. Some wisps of chocolate and vanilla, but they're not a huge component.
The body is a little thinner than I'd want it to be. Creamy, smooth mouthfeel- well carbonated and very drinkable.
One of the better Irish stouts I've had, but could use a little boost in flavor.

On-tap 3/25/2014 at Track 84, in Warwick, RI served in a US tumbler pint glass.
A: The beer is a deep dark brown color, with a short beige head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.
S: The aroma is faint but contains roasted malts and some chocolate but that’s about it.
T: The taste starts out with a mild dark chocolate flavor. Then a hearty roasted malt character comes in. The hops presence is very mild but brings a decent balance. The after-taste is bitter-sweet.
M: Crisp and a little smooth but a bit watery which is expected in the style, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is dry and slightly sticky.
O: A little tasty, goes down easily, not too filling, mild kick, good representation of style, this is a decent beer to drink for a long time if you’re in the mood for the style.
