Sample at the meeting last night, thanks to whoever shared it.
Dark brown in color with a thin off white head that doesn't last long. Light caramel maltiness and a lot of oaky vanilla bourbon and ethanol heat. A little thin in body. Nice to try but at 2 years old its still hot.

A- Deep clear coppery brown-red pour from the 22oz to a tasting goblet. One finger foamy white head has decent retention and leaves wide sheets of lace.
S- Big time vanilla from the barrel comes out nicely with brown toasted malts, brown and some caramel. Some medium toast oak in there as well and somewhat smooth. Suggests sweetness.
T- Toasted, brown, caramel and nutty malts are big time and so is the barrel. A touch of roast comes out from the grains as well. The vanilla is once again big time from the smoothed out whiskey oak barrel, some woody flavors in here too. A touch of spiced and sugary raisins. A bit boozy but honestly the barrel does a nice job smoothing the base beer. Sweet but not cloying.
MF- Medium-thick body with a certain slickness and warmth from the booze. A creamy and fluffy texture and a high level of carbonation. Smooth for an 11% beer.
Its a barrel and its a big sweet malty beer, together they marry and smooth each other out in harmony. Vanilla, booze, oak, caramel, raisins and toastyness.

Alewife and I had a couple of 12oz pours of this yesterday at the brewpub ($8.00 each). I got a 22oz bomber as well (~$15) and am diving into it now out in The 'Zebo.
This is the 2016 version, aged in Heaven Hill Kentucky Bourbon barrels, and has black wax sealing the cap. It pours a deep, tawny russet brown color. It is a tad hazy, has lazy, scattered carbo, and has a thin, creamy beige head. Lacing is decent for the most part. Aroma has noticeable bourbon notes, with some caramel and brown bread. It is quite smooth going down, with a medium-plus body.
The taste starts with lightly sweet caramel malts. There's also some toffee, brown sugar, brown bread and a hint of vanilla. The bourbon is still present, though never in yo' face, preferring to lurk in the background. A touch of that bourbon and some sweetness lingers lovingly on the palate in the finish. Though a bit pricey, this is still an über-solid offering. Prosit!!

Outstanding beer. Mellowed in my basement for almost six months before opening. Poured a thick, maroon-brown with very light head. But enough about the way it looks! The aroma lets you know you have something special on your hands. Smells of barley, grains, earth, malt, wood and bourbon. Wonderful. Taste follows suit with additions of raisin, light toffee, licorice, fine wood, vanilla and...Triple Bag. Awesome. Finishes with zero alcohol bite but a pleasant warmth and a slightly creamy mouthfeel that makes it real easy to sip. Excellent.

Purchased at the Bevie for ~15 IIRC. Waxed bomber. Poured into tall tulip glass. Pours a beautiful mahogany color with a finger and a half of tan head that slowly dissipates and leaves nice lace. Aroma is bourbon and oak, with a little vinous quality, raisin and sweet malt. Taste was a little astringent at first, but full of bourbon, brown sugar, dried fruit, and some hoppy bitterness. Mouth is just about right for a high ABV, with very little booziness evident. Overall, a pretty good BA beer, although a bit expensive. I'm glad I tried it.
