A: crystal clear; deep gold in color; a 1+ finger off white head that receded to a thin cap with very nice lacing;

S: grapefruit, lemon, and pine;

T: grapefruit with pine and lemon in the background; flavor is dull, not bright; a touch sweet throughout; mild to moderate bitterness at the end;

M: light to medium bodied; moderate carbonation; moderately dry finish;

O: I had high hopes, but this was a disappointment;

Light west coast IPA that drinks like regular APA to me. Even something like Sierra Nevada has a more bracing bitterness imo. Pine, a little bit of citrus and/or apple. Earthy semi-bitter hop taste lingers in your mouth long after you sip. A little boring but sometimes boring is good.

pretty light for what it is, not in flavor but in body, grain overall, and abv, all of which make this more drinkable than the standard, and i think its a pretty modern take on west coast ipa, less color and less malt, this is only brass colored, and it looks unfiltered to me, not hazy but not perfectly clear either, average head of pure white on top, lively. the aroma is appealing and familiar, high alpha c type hops, definitely northwestern, woodsy and piney with a botanical freshness, just a light mineral thing leading a touch metallic, but otherwise a pretty clean ferment and an apparently simple grain bill, milled lumber, lemon zest, and sticky buds. the flavor is similar, maybe lacking a little of the pungency from the aroma but its close, green in a good way, pine tree, juniper, and sap, slightly woody, bitterness ramping it up as it warms, nothing from the yeast at all, and with a little toasty grain support but it stays dry. some oiliness to the feel, definitely a little spiciness to the hops too, centennial seems evident, not sure what else, some grapefruit at the end and a nice hoppy linger without being overly intense. good balance, lighter medium body, frothy churned up feel, good carbonation, quite tasty. its been too long since i had a long tail beer so this was a welcome slice of nostalgia when traveling back east recently.

12oz can dated 10/31/22.

Pours clear gold with a moderate head and retention. Earthy pine with faint malt in the nose. Medium bodied with a crisp, slightly tacky mouthfeel. Pine with balancing malt on the palate. Finishes with a dry, minerally bitterness.

12 oz. Can in Goose coozie, reviewed on a hot day 7/19/22

Look?? It's in a can, in a coozie.

Nose: classic IPA ale maltiness, light amber, herbal and sweet. The hops smell piney, resinous and tangy citric.

Feel & Flavor: Medium bodied, crisp, resinous and slightly smooth in the finish.
Hops are classically pine resinous and sharp citric style bite. Clean, earthy vibe with a dry earth style finish.

Overall: this is really a nice reminder that West Coastal style IPA's are still a thing, with it's slightly bitter, resinous hops and hefty amber malty backbone that makes for a nice adventure time can for summer outings of various forms. Pack it in, pack it out.

Purchased as a six-pack of cans from Marathon for $10.99. Poured into a nonic pint glass.

L - Clear gold, with a one-finger pale white head. Head goes away rather quickly.
S - Pine tar, earth. Moss. Clean.
T - At first, just a nice earthy pine. The pine starts to intensify, and finishes with a super-piney bitterness. Very slight floral notes cover the bases, but it's barely noticeable.
F - Medium-bodied, with plenty of carbonation. Sticky.
O - The overbitterness combined with the very one-note pine flavor makes this a "no" from me. A hop bomb for sure, and with little to justify it. Not balanced, super piney, super bitter. I won't purchase this again, but I would give it a try first.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle purchased from a variety pack. Pours golden yellow with initial foamy head though no retention. Good hops taste up front = though very subtle = with a bitter but pleasant after taste on the rear. No malt balance but not overpowering. Good.

Picked-up a twelve pack at Luke's in Plymouth for about eighteen dollars. My eighth brew reviewed from these guys. Canned on date on 9/21/21. Just ok, strange taste.
