A: Poured from the growler into a pilsner glass. Body is clear yellow with a small white head.
S: Grainy with some floral hops.
T: Follows the nose: cereal grains, floral hops and some underlying sweetness. Touch of peppery spice, though I can't help but wonder if that's the power of suggestion operating here. Finishes with a modest lemony bitterness that provides some refreshing balance.
M: Light in heft, fairly modest in carbonation.
O: Solid stuff - an easy drinker sitting on my friend Andy's patio.

Had on tap at whole foods- pours a clear golden yellow color with very little white head, modest retention and nice swathes of lacing.
Smell is almost nonexistent- faint smell of lemon, pale malt and yeast. Maybe some pepper but that could be my imagination.
Taste is very nice; subtle and well-balanced. Pale is the first thing I taste, followed closely but a mild burst of lemon and then pepper which melds back into the pale malt background.
Mouthfeel is great- light body, moderately well carbonated. This is a very good kolsch- would love to session it while grilling bratwurst.
