Pours glowing copper with an ever lasting of white head. Sheets of lace coat the glass. The aroma is of butterscotch, roasty malts, woody hops and some stewed fruit. The taste malt forward with lots of bready, sweet and toasted malts up front and herbal, lemony hops in the back. The mouthfeel is full bodied with creamy carbonation. Light bitterness with lingering fruitiness in the finish.
A nice malt-centric ESB with wonderful malt complexity. Worth a try.
