473 mL can from the LCBO, one of three 'new' IPAs in GLB's Good Karma four-pack. Dated Apr 19 2023 and served slightly chilled.
Pours relatively clear, its deep golden-hued body capped off with nearly two fingers of foamy white head. It dissipates over the next five minutes or so, coating the glass with a generous swath of lace as it's reduced to a frothy collar and cap. Understated aroma of citrus peel, pineapple and herbal, woodsy hops, with a hint of bubble gum.
An excellent IPA: I'm tasting citrusy flavours of tangerine, with hints of apricot & pineapple candy backed by flaked oat sweetness. Mild to moderate coconut on the back end, lasting into a pithy, herbal, almost minty finish; hints of pineapple and mango dissipate into an aftertaste that is both sweet and (slightly) bitter. Medium-full in body, with fine carbonation that softly rolls across the tongue, contributing to this brew's very smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Tossing back one tall can is a breeze, and I wouldn't have minded a second.
Final Grade: 4.21, a worthy A-. Karma Sabro is a worthy extension to Great Lakes Brewery's series of Karmic Tank Ten IPAs. The coconut aspects associated with its focal hop are present, but not especially dominant - a definite plus for this BA. Personally, I'd select either their Karma Citra or Simcoe over this variant, but Sabro hops have never been a favourite of mine (mostly because of the coconut), so your mileage may vary. It's still a very well-made IPA, totally worth seeking out - I'd buy it again.

Decent sabro hop treatment. A bit more dry until the bottom half of the can, which gives the best coconut favour. Four pack which was cool and good value.

Pours fiery orange with a light haze and loads of fine carbonation streams. Big foamy head with longevity. Loads of tropical, floral herbal notes and light biscuity malts in the nose. There's a blast of mango, apricot, pineapple and garlic hops in the first sip. Predominantly citrusy and tropical but with a slight edge of savoury herbal hop notes. The mouthfeel is creamy and thick with a lot of fine carbonation. The finish is mouthcoating and medium bitter.
A nice New England IPA with a unique hop profile. Worth a try!
