Brewed for the Project X On the Road tasting event at Chancey Smith's in London, ON. Murky cola brown with bright ruby hues, one finger of frothy cream/tan head, and sheets of lacing down the pint glass. Smell and taste are chocolate milkshake, strawberries, vanilla cupcake, dark cherries, black forest cake, roasted and chocolate malts, and a ballsy hop bitterness to end. Mouthfeel is lush, chocolaty, smooth, medium carbonation, dry and bitter in the finish. Not much roast or smoke for a porter, but this works incredibly well. Made me re-think the style. Great work, Simon!

Cask at Project X on the Road, Chancey Smith's, London, ON- Pours cola colour, has a frothy mocha cap that lasts and laces well. The aroma is the best part. Smells like a chocolate milkshake with fresh cherry juice. A bit of coffee too.Chocolate cake, tart bing cherry, black coffee, lots of roast amongst the dessert qualities. Huge hoppy bitter finish, with lingering coffee and tart cherry. How the hell they managed to make this I'll never know, but this is a decadent treat, and was very well received at the festival. Well done Simon and crew!
