At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, from my favourite LCBO at The Roundhouse Centre in nearby Windsor. My fifth beer from the Etobicoke, ON brewery.

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated May 28 2024 and served slightly chilled.

Pours a slightly foggy golden-yellow colour, crowned with an inch of soapy, foamy white head pocked with craters. A little over five minutes later, it has been reduced to a creamy collar and sudsy cap, with a beautiful curtain of messy lace pasted onto the glass. The aroma is bright & vibrant, citrusy & fruity: I'm getting notes of pineapple, lemon and orange, as well as hints of mango, passion fruit and berries.

Very flavourful - this could very well be my first encounter with Superdelic hops, but I must say I'm already a fan. I'm getting a mesmerizing blend of orange, passion fruit, lemon peel and mango, as well as notes of pineapple and berries. It finishes with hints of orchard fruit, rock candy and pithy bitterness - an interesting combo that works exceptionally well together before fading to off-dry. Medium-bodied, with lively carbonation that contributes to its crisp and satisfying mouthfeel. Like Karma Citra, this is an IPA that I could drink all night, and I'd enjoy the last glass just as much as the first one.

Final Grade: 4.38, an A grade. Great Lakes has expanded their lineup of Karma beers over the last few years, but Karmadelic is one of the only ones that I think genuinely matches up to the original Citra (or the Simcoe). It does share some similarities with those two, but the sweet candy-like vibe that the Superdelic hops add to the mix makes for a decidedly different experience. I should've bought a bunch more of these last week, but I didn't believe the LCBO workers would *actually* go on strike... fortunately, they're still offering home delivery.

473ml can served cold into a pint glass. LCBO purchase for about $3.70CDN. Canning date of May 28, 2024.

Appearance - Reasonably clear dark golden beer with multiple fingers of fluffy and long lived white head. Little streaks cling to the glass for an eternity. Small soapy head stays for the duratiuon of the beer.

Smell - Big tropical notes, citrus with orange leading the way, some passionfruit and a medley of supporting characters. Vibrant intensity.

Taste - Orange, a touch of grapefruit, some passionfruit and hints of peach and melon. A touch of maltiness in the background. Big and fairly bitter but finishes a touch sweeter. Everything you're looking for in an IPA.

Mouthfeel - Medium bodied with fairly expressive carbonation. Semi-dry finish and also entirely crushable. Delightful.

Overall - Surprise surprise, GLB does it again with one of their best IPA releases in years, truly awesome stuff and yet another notch in the IPA belt. Well worth picking up a bunch of these as who knows how long they will be around for.

Pours clear gold with a compact but persistent head. The aroma is tropical fruit, candy and pineapple with a light pale malt background. The taste is an onslaught of tropical, fruity hops. A diminutive malt profile in the back. The mouthfeel is full bodied with high carbonation and mouthcoating hop alpha acids. High bitterness and an abundance of fruity hop notes in the everlasting finish.

Yet another banger IPA from this master producer. A must try.
