The pour is a fairly clear golden color with a very tall white head. A really nice aroma on this with plenty of grapefruit and other citrus. Fairly phenolic with lots of pepper. There’s lots of yeast and maybe some peach. The flavor is fairly nice, too. Sweet bready malt with good hop notes to go with the more traditional saison notes like yeast, pepper, and spice.

650ml Project X bottle into a tulip, 5.6%ABV and 40 IBUs; split with the girlfriend.
Poured a hazy orange with some browned highlights. Bright white head, with OK retention and some nice sheets of lacing. Citra is big on the nose, dominated by big mango, clementine and tangerine notes. Lots of wheat, light graininess and great saison yeastiness. A gentle spiciness as well. Taste is dry and wheaty, again with a big yeast presence akin to the nose. Hops aren't as prominent, but still provide the same juicy tropical notes. Some peppery spicing continues into the finish. Mouthfeel is medium and carbonation is medium-high, yet gentle. A great saison with lovely hopping and excellent drinkability. Lackey killing the saisons!

Bar Volo Night of Funk. A great name, a good beer. A very hoppy Saison. Citra, the real deal, cat p and all aroma. Cloudy golden colour, lacey, white head crowning it. Great drinkability, yes hoppy, supported by pepper and other non-distinguishable spices. A star to drink, in fact. Average mouthfeel. Another of many good Great Lakes Ontario experiments.
