East Coast? West Coast? You don’t have to pick sides, because this IPA doesn’t care where you’re from. It’s bold and smooth enough to make everyone happy. No-Coast IPA is a beer with no rules, no borders, and definitely no coastlines. It defies geography with pure, hop-forward goodness. Why choose a coast when you can have it all? 65 IBU.

At my lady Pamela's house; canned and chilled, 473mL in a Teku glass. From the Huron Church Rd. LCBO in nearby Windsor. Canned February 25/26. My 29th beer from the Etobicoke, Ontario brewery, and 12th for 2026. Remarkably recommended by Gracie the cat...

473 mL can from the LCBO; dated Feb 25 2026 and served slightly chilled.
Pours a relatively clear golden-amber colour, with an abundance of silty sediment clouding up its complexion somewhat. An inch and a half of soapy white head float atop, wilting in just under five minutes' time; a gorgeous coat of lace is left behind, as well as a tight collar and sudsy cap. Classic IPA aromas of floral, slightly piney hops and lemon, with bready, lightly caramelized malts also discernible. Hardly novel, but if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
A fairly bitter IPA with an old school vibe; the malt profile is no slouch, bringing some bready, grainy notes and caramelized sugars to the table. Pine resin early on, with grapefruit &lemon peel lending a citrusy quality. Floral, earthy hops and pine bitterness at the finish, blending with the malts to produce a piney, bready aftertaste that clings to the tastebuds. Faintly noticeable ethanol warmth. Medium in body, with fairly active carbonation that prickles the tongue, remaining lively throughout the session. Surprisingly drinkable, though two servings seems like an appropriate cut-off.
Final Grade: 4.11, an A-. While I wouldn't necessarily describe No Coast as a dynamic, exciting, must-try IPA, it appeals to my taste and sensibilities in a way that many modern IPAs do not. I've always been partial to Centennial hops, and I'm 99% sure that those were used here, so there's some level of personal bias at work - if you're one of those hazy IPA lovers, then this may not be the brew for you. Maybe not as impressive as some of GLB's other rotating IPAs, e.g. Karma Citra, Lake Effect or Thrust, but still a very solid beer that's worth checking out.

Pours burnished orange with a chunky, smallish head that drapes the glass in lace. Pine, lemon, pineapple and spicy hop notes and caramel malts in the nose. Pine tar, ginger and citrus hops in the taste. A prominent bready, demerara malt profile provides plenty of balance. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. High bitterness and lots of malt toastiness in the dry finish.
An interesting IPA merging the traditional west and east coast flavor profiles. Worth a try.
