Bottle shared by Jason, 650ml into a tulip. A lager made with pomegranates and beets for Valentine's Day at Project X. 8 IBUs.
Poured a clear pink, with a bright white head. Thick collar remains once the head settles and leaves ok lacing. Nose is sweet and floral, peppery fruity/vegetal notes right off the bat (expected given the ingredients involved) - the pomegranates present themselves moreso than the beets, which simply impart a veggie smell. Taste is sweet and vegetal, again the pomegranate is a bit more dominating in terms of flavour. Light cracerky, bready sweet pale malts beneath. Medium high carbonation, body has a bit of heftiness to it though which was nice for a beer of this style. Tasty and certainly unique, I'd certainly welcome this every Valentine's Day.
