On tap, Winterfest 2005, St. Paul, MN...
Ruddy clear dark amber appearance, nice big head of medium foam and ample laces. Sweet aroma with a wet Autumn leaves sense. Medium body with average carbonation, a little light for what its supposed to be. Flavor comes across as greenish and vegetal, reinforces the profile of the aroma. Finishes smoother with a decided apricot quality. Hops are expectedly minimal. Unfinished in impression, not a very good rendition for style in my opinion and it could use more sweetness and texture overall. This beer tied for first place in the popular vote at Winterfest 2005, I can't say that I agree.
