Pours straw yellow in color. Much visible carbonation, but not much head retention. Smells like sugared lemon candy. Tastes, well, pretty much like sugared lemon candy as well, but somewhat flat-tasting for a beer. It's body and mouthfeel were halfway in between a beer and a soda. Not something I particularly cared for.

About the closest we'll ever come to Skittlebrau, that wonderful elixir dreamed up by Homer Simpson.
Contract-brewed by AB-InBev's nearest facility, in Edmonton, AB. This one pours like a pale American lager, faintly urine-y with a bright lemon-y yellow. Fairly transparent. Not much head to speak of (certainly none that lasts).
An initial sniff of German hops is quickly vanquished by some musty malt and lemon. Lemon-zest, lemonade, etc., etc.,.Faint "old-beer-y" smell (taking me back to the days when I cleaned up the bar the night after). Taste echoes those notes with maybe--MAYBE--just a bit of noble hop kick. Not disgustingly sweet, so there's that. Soda-like carbonation, slightly sticky, pop-like body.
You've had a couple radlers, you've had them all. Even the best of the genre are pretty hard to pick out of a line-up. But this one isn't offensive, and at 2.5% ABV, it's a decent enough summer sipping option.

L: Golden straw, loose white head, good lacing on glass
S: Tart lemon, cracker, pilsner malts, slight sulfury notes
T: Crisp, semi-sweet lemonade, white bread, a bit tart
F: Medium body, well carbonated, sweet/tart finish
O: Very refreshing and overall a pretty tasty radler, goes down well on a hot summer day, not overly sweet

For what a rafter is supposed to be (a refreshing low alc beer mix) I actually really enjoyed this.
