Dark brown, nearly black, some crimson showing through the sides. Thin light tan brown head off the pour, leaving little skim.

Smells vaguely of tart cherries with a big dosage of roasted grain and coffee. Thick to the nose, with hints of chocolate.

Tastes oddly sour and tart from the get go; cherry flavor is definatly there. Deep roasted flaovor with bits of cocoa strewn about. Mild hop bitterness nearing the finish. Plenty of lingering tart flavors with accompanying malty sweetness.

Smooth and creamy in the mouth with nice carbonatoin and a full body. Nothing wrong at all. Makes for easy drinking, and has a bit more flavor than expected.
