Part Belgian Pale Ale, part Wit, and part Saison. This beer pours a brilliant clear straw orange with a half inch of foam that dissipates to thin white lacing. Appearance and aromas are rather wit like. Served with an orange that I did not dare let slip into the beer itself, this beers looks a lot like Blue Moon. It smells of coriander and orange peal but it also contains some wonderfully dry straw, grain, barnyard, and Belgian yeast notes. Flavor closely resembles a Belgian Pale Ale. The front is sweet and fruity, the middle is grainy and contains some lemon grass, the finish is dry, spicy, and nicely hopped. I added this as a Saison because of the name but would have otherwise thought it to be a pale ale. The mouthfeel is quite nice with a pronounced sourness that grows as the beer warms. This I find fitting with a Saison. I am quite pleased with this beer, which by appearance was crafted to appeal to the masses but by taste and feel it gets along very well with me.
