Canned on 10.09.19.
This was poured into a lager glass.
The appearance was a soft golden yellow color with a slight transparency about it. Small carbonation bubbles rose at a good pace. A finger's worth of white foamy head slid off nicely to leave a good amount of spotty/speckled lace.
The aroma had some citrusy to grassy hops up front rolling into some lagery biscuit/bready yeasty notes. Touch of earthy dry hops on the back end.
The flavor tried to lean towards the sweet side but seemed to blend with a mellow bitter grassiness. Stealthy aftertaste of grassy hops and citrusy coated biscuits.
The mouthfeel was between light and medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Good carbonation and some hop harshness on my tongue to tell me this is an India pale lager.
Overall, yup, just when I thought the India pale lager was a trend, Brown's goes and brews one. And this is one I would have again.
