12 oz. bottle - it pours into the tulip a deep, dark crimson with a finger of tan head that leaves light lacing. The aroma is quite nice, with candied malts, spiced rum, banana/zucchini bread, molasses, and nuts (pecans?, almonds?). Pretty much the same on the palate, but a bit too sweet and sugary for my liking. The body is light/medium, drying, with medium carbonation and a light finish. Overall not too much of a Scottish ale in my opinion, although it does smell like a well-constructed beer.
