From a 2 quart, screw-top growler - brewed with Cascade, Northern Brewer, Fuggle, and Kent hops. It pours into my tulip glass a hazy golden copper, almost bereft of carbonation, and topped with a 2-finger, beige head that eventually reduces to almost nothing, but manages to leave some nice lacing along the way. The aroma starts with the sugary/fruity malt I find in all of QC's brews, but I soon find notes of piney/green, almost citric hops and a sugar cookie sweetness. The flavor is about the same, with a fairly big dose of hops (of which Cascade and Fuggle are most prevalent) that is lightly backed by caramel malts. It has a medium to thick, quite dry body that is low in carbonation, and leaves a long finish. Overall not a great attempt, but I'm glad to have found a double IPA brewed so close to my home.
