Draught @ Brew Pub: This was very good. This was the first time that I have someone take a seasonal pumpkin and make the base a porter. It pours an opaque brown with a small tan head. The nose is that of pumpkin spice. Also weak notes of roastiness and chocolate. Very robust malty beer, with taste of the pumpkin spices also. An excellent choice!

This came with a light, tan head above a very deep brown beer. The nose was rich with spices, like cinnamon or ginger. The mouthfeel was medium, approaching a creamy fullness, but not quite achieving it. It had the roasty/toastiness that I associate with a porter, but with an interesting spiciness imparted by the roasted pumpkins and spices that Jeff threw into the fermenters. This was a great beer, especially for a seasonal.
