From my notes.

On tap at the brewery, this is my dessert. They call it a Raspberry Belgian Brown.

Served in a 10oz snifer. This is dark dark dark, almost purple. Thin head that fades fast.

Smell is all raspberries with a little bit of nuttiness as well.

Taste is RASPBERRY and a little choclolate on the finish. A little overwhelming with the fruitiness, I wish the Belgian Brown part could have come through a little more.

The mouthfeel is light and crisp, almost winelike, which to me seems kind of weird for a beer.

This is a tasty, unique beer, but the sweetness and the overwhelming fruit makes me think a few of these would be too much. One is good and it makes a nice dessert, so good on them for that.

Sample at the brewpub. This beer pours a deep mahogany color with a medium off-white head with good lasting power. Thin stringy lacing. Aroma of raspberries and malt. Medium bodied and fully tart with raspberry being the dominant flavor. Some roasted malt and sweet spices make it interesting. The finish is fruity and lasting. This turned out very good.
