Named after a rarely used baseball pitch and dedicated to former Major Leaguer and Vermont resident Bill Lee, this 'pilsner style ale', available only at the brewery for sampling or to take home in a growler, is deceptively rich in flavour for such a light coloured ale.
The colour is golden and honey-like, showing a hint of red when illuminated. The head is unusually thin with a soap-bubble-like appearace. Frothy but not creamy. Not much to smell; nothing really jumps out at your nose save for a clean, very slight hoppiness. The taste is nicely balanced with a suprising but not overpowering aftertaste of hops that you wouldn't expect from an ale ('pilsner style') that's so unimpressive to the other senses.
Overall, a good tasting warm weather brew and a nice take-home for this American beer lover stranded in flavourless Canada.

Had this at the brewery, at the tasting bar. The tap handle was some strange sparkly globe with something on top of it. I asked what it was, and the girl told me it was a pilsener, so i had to try it.
The beer is a crystal clear golden yellow, with a frothy full white head. Lots of carbonation bubbles.
Aroma is very odd. Smells sort of earthy and farmy, with a wierd grassiness and and a strange veggie like quality. Malts are light and definitely smell like a german style pils, with herbal german hopping.
Flavor is hoppy and light, with that strange grassy farminess. Light malt quality with hops throughout. Well carbonated, with a very light body. Spicy, tangy hops. The beer finishes hoppy, with a strange prawn-like taste, not entirely pleasant. The finish lasts forever, with the grassy flavor hanging around like one of those kids in front of 7-11. Strange brew.
