Inspired by our Vermont cult classic, Elderberry Weiss beer. Made with red elderberry syrup from Fisher Brothers Farm in Shelburne, VT, grown by Bob Clark and Becky Castle. The syrup is mixed with a wheat and CaraVienna-based malt saison wort. Big Belgian phenolic character on a back drop of pineapple ester aroma. We highlight noble hops from all the classic growing regions - Goldings, Hallertau, Saaz – to provide a subtle hop bitterness. If it weren’t for the yeast, this mouthpuckering-ly dry, acidic, fruity, and tannic beer would present almost like red wine.
