Pours a thick, ink black color with a choppy-shaped, decent khaki colored head. Smells hoppy for a stout. Well, slightly hoppy, but very rich and sweet.
The flavor is very loud. Many different burnt flavors coming together for one bigger, larger burnt flavor in this stout. Burnt enough that its what I notice first, malty enough to taste sweet, and hoppy enough on the sides to pucker my tongue. Heavily complex in flavor.
Nice lacings.
Heavy-bodied. Nicely done. An interesting stout to say the least. Worth trying.
