Slightly hazy copper with orange accents, forming a soapy off-white head with good retention and mild lacing. Mild to moderate in carbonation. Aroma of big juicy fruity hops (but not as intense as a West-Coast type IPA, i.e- the Huma-Lupa-Licious), sweetly balanced by fruity esters. Lots of Centennial here, with soft vanilla. Mouthfeel is sharp with a somewhat smooth finish and a medium body. Taste begins with lots of Centennial hops, a touch of minty leafy spiciness, a suggestion of orange peel, fruity ale esters with rotting black cherries in the distance. Bitterness is strong and kinda out of whack, upsetting the balance noted in the beginning. Touches of vanilla in the finish. More of a sipper due to the bitterness.
