This was probably my top want at EBF 2018 and I am really glad I got to try it. The beer poured out as a clear yellow color with a thin white head on top. The smell of the beer had a lot of really nice gin botanical notes along with some lime zest in there too. The taste of the beer was very similar to a gin and tonic, nice herbal flavors with bright citrus in there as well. The feel was smooth and light bodied. Overall I loved this beer. I went back for 3 more pours throughout the night.

Appearance: pours a light golden yellow color. a finger of a white head with moderate retention. leaves behind a small lacing. champagne like effervescence.

Smell: juniper, lime, moderate alcohol. Very gin and tonic like.

Taste: Opens with a strong bite of lime quickly being taken over by a strong juniper taste. alcohol comes and goes ranging from weak to moderate.

Mouthfeel: light, crisp, super dry, perhaps just a tad too dry to be truly refreshing. carbonation is effervescent again.

Overall: this just about perfectly captures a gin and tonic. definitely strong on the gin than tonic. The herbs have hidden just about all the malt and hop character (hops could give some of the lime but its hard to tell) Shorts achieved what they were going for. I enjoyed this a lot but not something I'd return to.
