Gitchy Gitchy Ooh La La is an Experimental Kolsch style Ale brewed with lemon juice, cucumber and lilac flower. An equal presentation of all three ingredients show up in the nose, as well as a prominent distinction of each in the flavor profile. Pleasant grain qualities help achieve a balance between refreshment and bold ingredients, with a light bitterness to round out the finish.

Maybe it’s because the can I had was filled over 4 months ago, but it wasn’t anything like a Kolsch. But anyway -
Poured honey color and looked all the world like carbonated honey in the glass. The nearly white head diminished some but never went away.
The aroma was like a spring salad with cucumber and lilac with a hint of lemon.
The taste followed, which wasn’t ideal. Cucumber takes command with the lilac playing second and lemon was MIA. Curious. Not much malts and no hops could I taste.
The feel was better than expected based on the appearance, it was actually pretty quaffable and the active carbonation made it feel lighter than it likely was.
Glad to try it, don’t need to get it again.

12 fl. oz can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours yellow with a light haze. it is topped with an inch of off-white head that leaves nice lacing.
Cucumber is the most pronounced aroma. The lemon is harder to get.
Cucumber leads the way in flavor. Lemon on the backend. It is actually quite refreshing.
Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel
Pairs well with some Patti LaBelle's Lady Marmalade.

Nose is crisp and juicy cucumber and lemon with a bread dough undertone. Taste follows suit with a baked biscuit like overtone that carries the flavors. Very fuzzy and refreshing. Overall, excellent.

May 2022 Specialty Release - 6 pack
12 oz. can dated 042522 (04/25/22) - 5.5% ABV / 35 IBU
Brewed and canned in Elk Rapids, MI
Poured into a Bell's branded nonic pint glass
Look - Pours a dense and fizzy off-white head with minimal lacing. Slightly cloudy, pale yellow appearance with a lot of streaming bubbles.
Smell - The scent is mostly lemon with hints of cucumber.
Taste - The taste is the opposite. There's much more cucumber in the flavor, but you get a good amount of tartness upfront from the lemon. In the aftertaste, you get some subtle bitterness that lingers. As the beer warms, it's easier to pick up a graham cracker maltiness.
Feel - Light-medium bodied with a crisp and tart mouthfeel and finishes dry.
Overall - A unique blend of flavors that are, at the very least, interesting.

I hate to compare beers, preferring to take as they come, but I was instantly reminded of Spectra Trifecta while drinking this one. While that kolsch was made with chamomile, lemongrass, and ginger, this one has lilac, cucumber, and lemon. And I find both amazing.
The flavors can found both independently and rolled together throughout a glass. The slight dry bitterness of cucumber is perked up with bright lemon, with lilac perking up the aroma. I would love to see this one in a bottle release.
