Pour is pitch black with an off white cap of foam. Aroma is booze and roast, with cocoa and raspberries lurking underneath. I wish the taste followed the aroma. The bourbon clashed mightily with the rest of the stout, leading to an almost sour, boozy heat that overpowered the rest of the flavors. As the glass warmed, the chocolate raspberry finish became even more pronounced, which broke my heart. Like dark chocolate filled with raspberry puree. I'm sure the non-BBA version is absolutely lovely.
