Keep It In Czech is a Bohemian Style Pilsner with a golden straw color and a thick white head. The use of traditional Noble Saaz hops provides this beer with a light grain and slightly herbal or floral scent. Keep It In Czech is slightly malty, but balanced by earth and floral hop flavors. Overall this brew is light-bodied, clean, and crisp.

12 ounce bottle into lager glass, bottled on 7/24/2017. Pours slightly hazy pale golden/straw color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a small cap that lasts. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Fantastic appearance. Aromas of cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey/pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop notes; with solid strength. Slightly fruity/yeasty in the aromas, but very minimal. Taste of big cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, light honey/pepper, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light-moderate herbal, floral, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of cracker, biscuit, white bread dough, pepper, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and minimal astringent hop flavors after the finish. Very clean on lager flavors, with minimal yeast notes present. Light-moderate increasing dryness from bitterness. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth, moderately bready/grainy, and fairly crisp/sticky balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.3%. Overall this is a delicious Czech pilsner style. All around nice robustness and balance of pale malt and light-moderate earthy hop flavors; very smooth, crisp, clean, and refreshing to drink with the modestly bitter/drying finish. Just a tad too bitter for the style. This has nice clean pils malt flavors, with a nice balance of noble hops; without being too overly drying. A very enjoyable offering, and spot on style example.

Bottled on 7/24/17. 12oz bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours golden with a subtle haze but still has some clarity to it; small white head that fades leaving okay retention and little lacing. The aromas are mild and basically have your typical pilsener aroma. The flavors have some hop flavors going on with a moderate bitterness. Some banana and bubblegum in the mix. It's slightly earthy with some fresh grass noticeable. Malts do their thing. Alcohol goes unnoticed. Mouthfeel is light with moderate to active carbonation. It's slightly fluffy and pretty smooth. Easy to drink.
This is a solid pilsener. It's slightly unique, but pretty traditional and straight forward at the same time. Not bad at all.

I picked up a bottle of Short's Keep It In Czech in their newest variety pack. I'm in the mood for something on the lighter side today and I'm interested to see what Short's can do with this beer, so lets see how it goes. 2017 Vintage. Poured from a brown 12oz bottle into a Pilsner glass.
A- The label looks nice, it's got a nice design to it that's a little eye catching. It poured a golden orange color that was a little hazy and it took on more of a golden color when held to the light with almost a fingers worth of bubbly white head that died down to a thin ring that satyed till the end and it left some patchy and spotty lacing behind. This is a pretty nice looking Pilsner, but I wish it had a little more head.
S- The aroma starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops being the first to show up and they impart a spicy and light floral aroma with the spicy hops seeming to stick out the most. Up next comes a little bit of clean yeast with a slight stone fruit aroma showing up too and it's followed by the malts which are a little on the lighter side and they impart a pale malt, grainy, doughy and sweet malt like aroma. This beer has a pretty nice aroma, but I wish the malts showed up just a little more.
T- The taste seems to be similar to the aroma, but more balanced and it starts off with a slightly higher amount of medium sweetness with the hops still being the first to show up and it's the spicy hops that still stick out the most, but this time they are lighter than they were in the aroma. Up next comes some that clean yeast with just a slight bit of those fruity stone fruit aspects coming through and it's followed by the malts which impart all the same aspects that they did in the aroma, but this time they show up just a little more. On the finish there's a somewhat lower amount of medium bitterness along with a little more sweetness and it had a spicy hop and light malty aftertaste. This is a pretty nice tasting beer, it's pretty much what I would expect from the style and it's got good balance.
M- Fairly smooth, a little clean, crisp, medium bodied with a medium amount of carbonation. The mouthfeel is pretty nice and it works well with this beer.
Overall I thought this was a pretty nice beer and it's a solid example of the style, it had pretty much all the aspects that I was looking for and they all came together to make for a nice Czech Pilsner. This beer had nice drinkability, I could drink a couple, but that would be my limit. What i like the most about this beer is how true to style it is and the balance in the taste, to me those two things are the highlight of this beer. What I like the least about this beer was that the malts didn't show up just a little more in the aroma. I would buy this beer on it's own when looking for a nice Czech Pilsner and I would recommend to anyone looking for the same. All in all I was happy with this beer, I was a little surprised Short's took such a traditional route with this one, but it ended up working out nicely. It's not a favorite Short's beer and it's a nice example of the style. Good job guys, this is a tasty Czech Lager, keep it up.

Nice offering from Short's. Poured from bottle to glass. Golden and clear, with a finger of foam. Nice retention, some soapy lacing is left behind. Aroma is grains and floral hops. Taste is grain, floral hops, with that nice, white peppery zip finish a Czech style Pilsner gives. There's just a bit too much of a zip. Otherwise, pretty apot on.
